Massage Therapy
Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques, to enhance function, aid in the healing process, decrease muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, promote relaxation and well-being. Experts estimate that upward of 90 percent of disease is stress-related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally than high stress. Massage is an effective tool for managing this stress, which translates into: decreased anxiety, enhanced sleep quality, greater energy, improved concentration, increased circulation and reduced fatigue.

Massage can also help specifically address a number of health issues. Body work can (but not limited to):

  • alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion
  • assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays
  • ease medication dependence
  • enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow (the body’s natural defense system)
  • exercise and stretch weak, tight or atrophied muscles
  • help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from strenuous workouts
  • improve the condition of the body’s largest organ (skin)
  • increase joint flexibility
  • lessen depression and anxiety
  • promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks
  • pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs
  • improve circulation
  • reduce post-surgery adhesions and swelling
  • reduce spasms and cramping
  • relax and soften injured, tired and overused muscles
  • release endorphins
  • relieve migraine pain

We gladly accept no-fault cases (a referral is required from your health care provider prior to first treatment), and most insurances that offer massage coverage (please contact your provider by calling the number on the back of your card to find out details and eligibility). The therapists within the office are trained in Swedish Massage as well as other different techniques and methods. Visit our About Us page to find out what each therapist may specialize in.

Graston Soft Tissue Technique
Graston is a non-invasive technique that utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to detect and treat areas of soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The goal of Graston Technique is to identify areas of restriction and attempt to break down scar tissue usually associated with some type of soft tissue trauma (ie: muscular strain, pulled ligament, tendon or fascia) in order to reduce pain and increase function. Through breaking down scar tissue and fascia restrictions Graston Technique promotes a better healing environment for the injured soft tissues. Graston is ideal for patients with a history of trauma, repetitive stress injuries to muscles, tendons, joint capsules and connective tissues.

Graston is clinically proven to achieve faster and better outcomes in the treatment of:
