Cupping is a form of myofascial decompression used to decrease muscle tension, reduce pain, increase circulation, detox the body, boost the immune system and promote relaxation. Cupping utilizes a negative pressure or suction on the skin to create space within the tissues to facilitate increased circulation and oxygenation of tissues to support the healing process on a deep level. Gua Sha/Graston
Gua sha & Graston are a forms of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization which involve using a special massage tool to scrape the surface of the skin in order to improve circulation and release long standing muscle adhesions. The goal of this technique is to identify areas of stagnation & restriction and attempt to break down scar tissue usually associated with some type of soft tissue trauma in order to reduce pain and increase function. Through breaking down scar tissue and fascia restrictions, these therapies promote a better healing environment for the injured soft tissues. Graston or Gua Sha is ideal for patients with a history of trauma, repetitive stress injuries to muscles, tendons, joint capsules and connective tissues. Prenatal Chiropractic Care
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment utilized during pregnancy that balances maternal pelvic muscles and ligaments. This, in turn, reduces tension in the uterus, a cause of intrauterine constraint of the baby, and allows for optimal fetal positioning in preparation for birth and increased comfort for mom-to-be during this special time. Cold Laser Therapy is a highly effective non-invasive treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light which are able to penetrate the skin and interact with tissues in order to accelerate the healing process. Cold Laser Therapy can be used on patients who suffer from both acute and chronic conditions in order to help eliminate muscle and joint pain, decrease swelling, reduce spasms, promote relaxation of muscle tissue and to temporarily increase local blood circulation.
